What the business does
Tree Care Gold Coast arranges tree work across the City of Gold Coast — removals, lopping, pruning, stump grinding and removal, palm work, land clearing and emergency storm response. It is a local family-owned operation and the work is done by qualified arborists.
The services page lists the nine jobs we cover and what each one actually involves. The short version: if it has a trunk and it is causing a problem, we can tell you what the options are.
How we work
Every quote is free and given on site. Nobody prices a tree over the phone, because the two things that move a price most — access and what sits underneath — cannot be described accurately in a phone call.
Before a quote is written, the approval position is checked. The City of Gold Coast planning scheme protects a great deal of vegetation through its vegetation management overlay, and on hinterland blocks state vegetation mapping applies on top of that. Finding out after the fact that a tree was protected is an expensive way to learn the process, and the penalty attaches to the property owner as well as the contractor.
Cuts are made to Australian Standard AS 4373. Green waste is chipped on site and carted away, or left as mulch on the garden beds if you want it — that costs nothing extra and saves you buying mulch.
What we will not do
We will not top a healthy tree because it has grown tall. Cutting a mature crown back to stubs produces a flush of weakly attached regrowth that is more dangerous in five years than the tree you started with, and on a protected tree it is an offence.
We will not remove a tree that is protected until an approval is in place. We will not work on anything in contact with a live Energex conductor — that is reported to Energex on 13 19 62 and the supply is isolated first. And we will not quote a job we have not looked at.
What is not on this site
No invented review counts, no star ratings we cannot substantiate, no fabricated testimonials, and no fixed prices for jobs that vary by a factor of seven. The cost guide explains the drivers and quotes the one honest range the business publishes.
Getting in touch
Ring (07) 5230 8034, seven days, 7am to 6pm. Emergency and storm callouts are taken outside those hours. The contact page has the enquiry form, the FAQ covers council approval and green waste, and the blog has long guides on palms, transplanting and the approval process.
Read the disclaimer before booking — it sets out plainly how this site relates to the contractors who do the work.
Frequently asked questions
Are you insured?
Public liability and workers compensation cover is standard for tree work and any contractor attending your property should be able to produce a current certificate of currency on request. Ask for it before work starts rather than after. This site does not publish policy numbers or certificates, so verify directly with whoever quotes your job.
Do you do commercial and body corporate work?
Yes. Body corporate and strata sites, schools, accommodation providers, retail centres and construction sites are a regular part of the work. Those jobs generally need a written scope, traffic management where a truck occupies a driveway or footpath, and scheduling outside peak hours.
What areas do you cover?
The whole City of Gold Coast, from Coomera, Hope Island and Ormeau in the north, through Southport, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Robina, down to Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, Currumbin and Coolangatta, and inland to Nerang, Mudgeeraba and the hinterland fringe. The service area pages cover what is specific to each.
