Acceptance
By accessing or using treecaregoldcoast.com.au you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site.
These terms cover the website. They are not a contract for tree work. Any contract for work is between you and the contractor who quotes and carries out the job, on that contractor's own terms.
What this site is
This is a referral website. Enquiries submitted here are passed to independent tree contractors working on the Gold Coast. The site owner does not carry out tree work. See the disclaimer for the detail of that arrangement and what it means for you.
Quotes and enquiries
Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance and nothing here is a binding quote. Prices, ranges and indications published on the site — including anything on the cost guide — are general information only. A binding price comes from a written quote issued by the contractor after inspecting the site.
Submitting an enquiry does not create an obligation on anybody to attend, quote or perform work.
Accuracy of information
The content here is general information about tree work on the Gold Coast. It is prepared with reasonable care but it is not professional advice about your particular tree, property or legal obligations.
In particular, statements about council approval, the City of Gold Coast vegetation management overlay, Queensland vegetation management law and neighbour disputes are general descriptions that change over time. Verify the current position with City of Gold Coast, the State of Queensland or your own adviser before acting. Do not rely on this site as the basis for cutting, clearing or removing anything.
Your responsibilities
You agree not to use this site unlawfully, not to attempt to interfere with its operation or security, not to use automated tools to harvest content or contact details, and not to submit false information or another person's details without their authority.
Safety
Several pages describe how tree and palm work is done. That material is descriptive, not instructional supervision. Tree work is dangerous, chainsaw injuries are serious, and falls from height are frequently fatal. Work near electrical conductors is restricted by law. If you choose to do any of it yourself, you do so entirely at your own risk and you are responsible for your own equipment, competence and compliance.
Intellectual property
The text, layout and design of this site are owned by the site operator or used under licence. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not republish, copy or adapt the content for commercial purposes without written permission.
Third-party links
Links to external sites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the site operator excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this website or its content, including indirect and consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability can be limited rather than excluded, it is limited to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Privacy
Personal information submitted through this site is handled as described in the privacy policy.
Changes
These terms may be updated at any time and the version published on this page applies from the time it appears.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
