This is a referral website
Enquiries made through treecaregoldcoast.com.au are passed to independent tree contractors working on the Gold Coast. The operator of this site does not carry out tree work.
That means the contractor who quotes and performs your job is a separate business. Your contract is with them, on their terms. Their insurance, their qualifications and their workmanship are theirs.
What is not verified here
The site owner does not verify contractor licensing, insurance, certification, qualifications or workmanship. Nothing on this site should be read as a warranty about any particular contractor.
Before work starts, ask the contractor directly for:
- The qualification held in arboriculture, and by whom
- A current certificate of currency for public liability insurance
- Confirmation of workers compensation cover for anyone on site
- A written quote listing exactly what is included — stump, mulch, trunk wood, cleanup, traffic management
- Confirmation that they have checked the council approval position for your tree
A contractor who will not produce those documents is telling you something useful.
Information on this site is general
The pages here describe tree work on the Gold Coast in general terms. They are not professional advice about your tree, your property or your legal position.
Statements about council approval, the City of Gold Coast vegetation management overlay, Queensland vegetation management law, neighbour disputes and insurance are general descriptions written at a point in time. Legislation, planning schemes and mapping change. Verify the current position with City of Gold Coast, the State of Queensland, or your own professional adviser before you act. See the council approval guide for how that process works, and treat it as an outline rather than as authority.
Tree work is dangerous
Several pages on this site describe how removals, felling, pruning and stump work are done. That material is descriptive. It is not training and it is not supervision.
Chainsaw injuries are severe. Falls from height are frequently fatal. Work near electrical conductors is legally restricted and can kill from a distance through the ground. Many home insurance policies exclude damage and injury arising from do-it-yourself tree work.
If you choose to do the work yourself, you are responsible for your own competence, equipment and compliance. If there is any doubt, ring (07) 5230 8034 and have someone look at it.
Prices
No fixed price for any job appears on this site. The range published on the cost guide is a general indication of what tree removal on the Gold Coast can run to, not a quote. A binding price comes from a written quote after an inspection.
No reviews or ratings are published here
This site does not publish a star rating, a review count or customer testimonials, because those could not be substantiated from verifiable sources at the time it was built. Check the business's Google Business Profile for genuine reviews rather than relying on claims made on any website, including this one.
Emergencies
If a tree or limb is in contact with a powerline, this is not a tree contractor matter in the first instance. Ring Energex on 13 19 62, keep everyone well clear, and treat the ground near the conductor as live. See emergency and storm work.
